SGNA's Special Interest Groups are a place for SGNA members to share resources, discuss issues and develop content on specialty topics. All members are welcome to join the Special Interest Groups whether you have years of experience or you are interested in learning more.

Upcoming SIG Education

Annual Course Flipped Learning Exercise

  • Read assigned articles to earn CNE's before the Annual Course
  • Attend a special SIG event at the 44th Annual Course in New Orleans
    Tuesday March 9, 12:30  - 2:00 pm
    30 minutes of networking and refreshments followed by 60 minutes of structured discussion around assigned articles, earn 1 CNE

Special Interest Group Leader Expectations:


1.       Monitor, respond to, and generate topics in the Online Discussion Forums
2.       Share topical research and news articles with the group, at least once a month
3.       Organize educational contributions at least twice a year which can include:
           o   Webinars provided by SIG members
           o   Webinars organized by SIG members and provided by a guest speak
           o   Articles in the SGNA News or SGNA’s blog the Bottom Line written by SIG members
4.       Participate in quarterly conference calls to discuss progress to date and future plans with other SIG leaders and the Board Liaison
